Journal Metrics sells digital AI journal recommendation services. We generally allow refund requests within 7 days of your first paid subscription purchase. One-time AI recommendation purchases are handled separately because they are consumed immediately after a result is generated.
Digital Service; No Physical Returns
Our paid plans provide access to digital features, including AI journal recommendation usage, account features, and ad-free access where included in your plan. Because no physical product is shipped, there are no physical returns or return shipping procedures.
7-Day Refund Window
You may request a refund within 7 days after your first paid purchase of a Journal Metrics subscription if the service does not meet your needs.
- Refund requests must be sent within 7 calendar days of purchase.
- Refunds are normally issued to the original payment method.
- Approved refunds may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- We may ask for the email address used for the account and the reason for the refund request so we can locate the payment and improve the service.
One-Time Recommendation Purchases
A one-time AI journal recommendation purchase provides a single digital recommendation result for one manuscript title. Once the recommendation result has been generated, the purchase is normally non-refundable.
- If checkout succeeds but the recommendation cannot be generated because of a service error, we may restore the one-time access or issue a refund.
- Unused one-time access normally expires 30 days after purchase.
- Refunds may be denied for repeated abuse, chargeback misuse, or policy violations.
When Refunds May Be Denied
We reserve the right to deny or limit a refund request when:
- The refund request is made more than 7 days after purchase.
- The account has used a substantial portion of the paid AI recommendation quota.
- The one-time recommendation result has already been generated and delivered.
- The purchase is a renewal and the prior billing period was already used.
- The account violated our Terms of Service, including abuse, automated scraping, fraud, or payment misuse.
- We detect repeated refund requests, chargeback abuse, or other behavior inconsistent with fair use.
Cancellations
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account billing portal where available, or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless a refund is approved under this policy, your paid features normally remain available until the end of the current billing period.

Please include the account email address used for the purchase, the date of purchase if available, and a brief reason for the request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The policy posted on this page at the time of your purchase will generally apply to that purchase, unless a change is required by law or payment processor rules.
